BC Preview TV Show

Not sure if I mentioned this, but I will be doing a BC Preview TV Show with Dan Illman from DRF next week. The show will be airing on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network which is available in the Baltimore-Washington DC area, as well as surrounding states, and also on DirectTV ( I will find out the channel for those of you with WAY too much free time ).

We will obviously be discussing all the races as well as giving some Churchill BC track trends and constructing Pick-4 plays. Hopefully the show will be at least mildly entertaining and neither of us will embarrass ourselves too much. I will try to let you know exactly when the show will be aired as we get closer.

No Dish TV or OTB channel? Geez, I get cable and satellite to try and cover all my horse racing needs and it still isn't enough.

Thanks for the heads up. If you could post the channel for DirectTV when you find out it would be appreciated. Not enough free time here, but TIVO is a beautiful thing.

Let Dan Illman know he missed his true calling. I enjoy his work for DRF, but he would have made an excellent game show host.

I'm sure the show will be enjoyable and informative. Good luck with the Cup.

I'll find out if the Network is available on the Dish.

I will be interested in see what you guys think the BC track trends are. We have some of our own but I want to see if you fellows have thought of something that we havent.

For the many of you who are being kept up at night waiting for more details....

The show will be aired Friday at 10:30 pm and Saturday at 8 am. I believe it is on Channel 626 on DirectTV.

I knew there had to be a good reason for my recent lack of sleep.:D

Well I guess those of us out in the hinterlands without Direct TV are screwed.

You and Dan should make a fine team anyway.

We do handicapping spots every week for a few stakes races. These are usually available if you have DRF Plus. They are also shown in different places but the only one I know of for sure is Pennsylvania OTB.

I think I picked a winner last May but I'm not even sure about that.

Any chance it'll be on NYCOTB 71?

blackthroatedwind 10-30-2006 02:13 PM

I guess it's possible they will pick up some of the individual race spots though I don't know specifics. I will try to find out.

Cool, let me know.
Since I moved my building doesn't allow directv, which totally sucks. I spend every sunday watching the giants and jets, for one, instead of whatever game i want.

Cajungator26 10-30-2006 02:18 PM

I'll have to head over to my Mom's house on Friday night...

I hate having cable.

Can't you just buy an NFL package through cable?

No NFL packages on 'regular' cable.. DirectTV has the exclusive.. And SIRIUS the exclusive on the satellite radio side..

Does that have something to do with Network TV having NFL rights while for basketball or baseball packages it is all regional sports networks?
