Opening day thoughts.....

Race 5..... 1 seems more like a 3-1 shot, not 10-1. Maker is huge 1st off the claim on turf and this horse has turf races that crush this field. I like a lot.
Race 6....against Bowie who is 5-2ml and could be chalk. They did pay 750k. I don't like her at all and will maybe look for her 2nd time out. That's where this trainer excels. Will use either 1,4,7 and the 2. Lukas filly looks fast and I'll cover at like 8-1 or 10-1.
Race 7....5 will be tough on the cutback. But there's lots of other speed. I'll use the 2,4 as prices.
Race 8. I like Olive Branch a lot. But lock of the meet might be to much. I'm going to toss the likely Assman chalk and use 1,3,4. 4 because I respect Todd. 3 because she was super impressive 1st out and had a big trip last time. Price should be solid and she could move way up with a clean trip.

G'luck Joey....I like the Pletcher filly in the 8th also, may be my only toga play for opening day  would like to pair her up with Olive Branch and Rudy's Summer Sally

I think race 5 is the most wide open on the card. early multi's will be tough. I can't pair down from 2-7-8-9-10-11-12 (7 deep). I'm going to have a cup of strong coffee, and then take another look. Take some scores tomorrow RHT

Race 5

Like the 12 clearing easily from the outside and walking this race on the front. I only see 2 other potential pace threats and they're both too cheap to be in here. 1,2,6 (in case they all do go), and 12 for me.

Looks like 1 should get a nice trip in that one Dan. 12 definitely looks to be out front

She will be forwardly placed, but I don't see her on the lead. I think the 12 is quickest but who knows.
