Melania Trump plagiarized Michelle Obama's speech

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/0...e-obama-225794

Well if that is the case Michelle Obama plagiarized my mother, father, aunts Uncles, Coaches and nearly all of my teachers because basically isn't that the tenant of the values every single one of us was raised with? Study hard, play fair, treat others as you wish to be treated...... Unfortunately these values no longer hold any meaning. "Just Win Baby" has become the marching orders. Nothing like the Medias #RushToHate

There is no bigger supporter than I (well, maybe Richard if his pants aren't still around his ankles) but this looks bad.

It pains me to say it, but something is going on.

They need to expose the speechwriter who blatantly stole this as a way to embarrass Trump & Melania.

There is simply no other rational explanation.

The side by side comparison is damning in my mind's eye:

I did but how many ways are there to give the same message that we have all heard hundreds of times without in some cases using the same wording..

I agree with jms on this ....but Dan you have it right also "it looks bad"...the media just loves sh*t like this....while Rome burns they will dwell on this for months.

I thought Rudy did a great job.

I get what you are saying - it is the specific wording, with the specific phrasing that is baffling to me.

Further to your point, we are talking about maybe 30 seconds of a 5 minute speech - not like they lifted entire talking points word for word.

I honestly didnt watch or dont even care at this point. I think this country is f.ucked with a capital F regardless.

That being said, its amazing that in this country Plagiarism by a potential first lady, is a bigger deal than an e-mail scandal with national security implications by a presidential candidate. The entire world is coming off its hinges and this is what the media focuses on.

Maybe the Trade Mark I applied for on #RushToHate may eventually pay dividends.

didn't watch either, and don't get why her speech is the big headline on sites.
there are plenty of bigger issues than her stupid speech. and others who spoke blatantly lied from what I'm seeing so far...but yeah, let's worry about what someone's spouse had to say, someone who would have nothing whatsoever to do with policies. as for her education...again, who cares?
of course, this is a country where people care about kim kardashian's life.

Does Queen know he used their song? That's the bigger question..especially if Freddie wrote it

According to the official Queen twitter account and the twitter accounts of Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon (the surviving members) it would seem that you two are the only ones ghastly appalled thus far.

Poor Freddie, rolling around in his grave and whatnot.

First World problem, I agree, but Republicans have made a habit of copyright infringement and then pulling song after artist threatens to sue.
