Beem needs to do something with Andy's incessant desire to ask the connections of Belmont Stakes entrants about Saratoga. Why in the world he wants to ask owners and trainers about a meets that is weeks away at the Belmont draw is beyond me. The look on Mr. Zayat's face last year was priceless when he had a Pharoah going for the Triple Crown and was questioned about whether or not the colt would run at the Spa.

The track's signature race is days away and the Spa meet is weeks away. Besides being dismissive of the Belmont S. itself, Saratoga is largely irrelevant at that point, as was evident from Zayat's reaction.

call me crazy, but i'm pretty sure andy knows what he's doing, and what to ask.
as for saratoga...it is many things, irrelevant NOT being one of them.
