Bri..

In your User CP (Control Panel) use the EDIT OPTIONS. Click and scroll down to Email notification.. Turn off the mailing there...

Should work..

yea i thought i had fixed it that way about a half dozen times yesterday.

i finally just gave up a few minutes ago and changed my email address for the forum to one that i never even check and that might not even be active anymore.

You can allow other members to send you email messages.
Receive Email from Other Members
Default Thread Subscription ModeWhen you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Do not subscribe

Make sure the bold is selected in the Edit Options area

yea that's exactly what i did yesterday and i would save it, then i would get another email so i would come back to try to change it again and it was as if i had never changed it in the first place.

now it looks like it stuck, but i won't know since i changed my email on here.

thanks for your help
