Any Given Saturday

A bit shocked that no one has cited Any Given Saturday's rather impressive ALW win Thursday at KEE. Distorted Humor colt, and half to Bohemian Lady, made a sustained, eye-catching, field-circling move and stormed home with stablemate Sam P. the only other in the field with any interest in trying to get to him.

Pletcher-WinStar.. $1,1MM buy.. looked VERY good, and instantly becomes the heir apparant for the connections with BluCat hanging up the bridle..

Why didn't it get a mention? because he ran on polytrack so obviously the performance means nothing.;)

Bethani almost every agent I know feels that way as well, even though I know you were kidding.
Its very hard to get worked up over one that runs on you know what until they translate it someplace else, thats just a fact.

He was very impressive, although both of his wins came over the poly so it is tough to decipher until he gets on the dirt and shows the same type of explosive effort. another expensive baby ($2.0 million), Belgravia, for Coolmore/Biancone had a very good debut on Wednesday (probably mentioned elsewhere on the site). He was behind a wall of horses in midstretch and won easily once he found room. He looks quite talented as well and it'll be interesting to see what these horses do at other tracks.

If i I recall in his MSW win he won a TP from the 12 hole in a full field, not easy to do at Turdway.
