Apparently an errant horse hooked him in the stretch....the exercise rider resorted to putting him into a drive....Bernardini pinned his ears back.....and was empty.

I've always said i wanted him to be eyeballed and feared that his easy wins have left him vulnerable if he were ever hooked. This is not a good sign unless you are busting my balls and baiting me into a post like this, and if thats the case my respect for you goes up.:D

Bernardini went slow in his last work also just before the JCGC. I think that they are trying to back the horse off a little bit because he won't be on the lead in the BC Classic.

You had me worried there for a minute BTW. I was going to have to do some serious thinking about where I wanted to use Bernardini in my bets if your scenario of Bernardini's workout was the case.

I don't care if it was slow or fast. I'm still convinced P Drift is gonna blow the tote board to Toronto that day... I'll be the first to bow down to the chalkies in here when I'm wrong. This isn't about going out on a limb and finding value either. I really think if he fires a big one and doesn't run into traffic (LEPAROUX- TAKE HIM WIDE DAMNIT! LEARN FROM YOURSELF AND THE GUID IN LAST YEAR'S CLASSIC), he's gonna be a monster coming down the lane.

For the record I just spoke to my man the Clocker and he said that Bernadini's move was excellent.
He praised Albertrani's specific work with this horse, saying that he realizes that with a horse like this slow maintenance moves with one faster drill between races is the best way to train a horse with such talent and speed.
Its his theory(that i swear by) that many trainers get a fast horse in the barn and just can't resist playing with it like a new toy and drill it too hard or get too cute and try to reinvent the wheel.
Sadly, if you are looking to beat him on BC day, he continues to look magnificent on looks, action, and training.
