Bad sign for Point Ashley?

Espinoza's getting off her to ride Alcibiades also-ran She's Included in the BCJF.. PA also hasn't worked since her last race. This can't be a good thing.

A friend of mine has a connection to the horse. He said Baffert made a comment about the BC not being out of the question and he will work the horse and then decide. I don't remember when he said the work would be.

Espinoza also will replace Solis on Paasch-trained Juvenile Fillies longshot She's Included, eighth-place finisher in the Grade 2 Alcibiades.

"The division is unproven; it's worth taking a shot," Paasch said.

She's Included previously finished a distant third in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante, which Espinoza won with Point Ashley.

The decision by Espinoza and agent Tony Matos to switch from Point Ashley to longshot She's Included adds to the uncertainty surrounding Point Ashley. She has not worked since a runner-up finish Sept. 30 as the odds-on favorite in the Grade 1 Oak Leaf Stakes. Point Ashley's trainer, Bob Baffert, said Tuesday he has not ruled out the Breeders' Cup.

"I'm going to work her on Monday and then decide," he said.

sounds like PA won't be in the race to me. espinoza wouldn't leave her otherwise.

nice to see the include two year olds doing well. broad brush hasn't had much success at all as a sire of sires, include may change that. he certainly wasn't expected to do well as a sire of two year olds, so this is a very pleasant surprise!

If she doesn't run in the race there is only ONE reason why...she's off somewhere physically...

Believe me, I know Baffert well enough to know that he wouldn' miss the Breeders' Cup with a filly of her ability unless she was not right physically....I bet Victor knows she's ailing and won't make the race....
