Venue for Saturday July 4 - Belmont
 

Belmont Park appears to be offering the best fireworks display from a race quality point of view for this 4th of July. The card will offer 6 graded stakes races, including the Belmont Derby, the Belmont Oaks, the Belmont Sprint Championship, the Dwyer, the Suburban and the Victory Ride.

All in all, it should provide a great afternoon of racing to accompany an Independence Day cookout. Good luck to all and I'll see you in the starting gate.

Nice Joly . . . All that is missing is Springsteen's "Born in the USA" or Lee Greenwoods "I'm Proud to be an American" and some nice bottle rocket hits on a wager or two.
