Don't know if I've ever backed a winner in this race but it's always been one of my favourite races (and days).

The 3yos standout, especially the hot fav Legal Eagle, but I like two of the others as well. French Navy has already won two big ones this year and he got sandwiched between runners in his only meeting with Legal Eagle. Deputy Jud will be a monster price but he was right there with "Legal" until the final 200m two back (this race is 250m shorter) and was severely hampered once he finally began to kick last out. Should be a great race and card as always!

Saw the video of a sangoma making predictions and he liked Wylie Hall for the win with Futura and French Navy hitting the board. :D

Will look in the coming days.

How embarrassing that the only name I have heard of is Helderberg Blue (and probably only because of his trainer, Mike Bass). Cool to see Chad Schofield has a mount.

I usually do not pay much attention to pedigree but do you happen to know if there are any other Jet Master kids, Kitan? Really just curious. :)

#7 Just Ask Me: 1400m on the polytrack suits best.

Race 5 (G1 Golden Slipper):
#1 Almashooqa: Emphatic debut winner, got too far back second start and just missed last out. de Kock's #1 here.
#4 Frosted Honey: Will improve with the distance but missed a bit of time.
#11 Princess Royal
#14 Sharp Princess

Race 6 (G1 Golden Horseshoe):
#11 Never Settle: Expensive purchase has only run on the polytrack but will take a flyer.
#1 Arabian Beat: Anything can happen trying the bend for the first time.
#14 Seventh Plain: See above.
#15 Star Chestnut: Won two races on a turn, albeit by small margins.
de Kock really high on #10, #14 was extremely washy last out. Wide open.

Race 9 (Garden Province Stakes):
Lots of chances. No plays...

Race 11:
#9 Equity Kicker: Ran well his lone poly run and the extra 100m will help.

Race 12:
#5 Just As I Said: Does his best running on a dry track and Strydom means business when he rides for this barn. Longshot of the day.

Have not yet seen the replay (obviously missed the race) but do you mind if I redboard a losing bet I didn't even make? :D At the last possible minute decided to do a win bet on Majmu but alas... was too late.

Just got home and saw well not results but the winnah anyway and am hoping you had it!

3yo form clearly didn't hold up. Take them out and I have the winner on top :D. Would have liked the 9 if he didn't have a wide draw and the 11 seems to always be ITM in the big ones. Always easier in hindsight... 1st race was enough for me though!
