"what will forever be known as the Mike Smith path"

WHO here coined that phrase about this years Derby? Because I hafta tell ya,,,,,it ***STILL*** makes me crack up on a regular basis. (like every other day or so) Gotta be one of the sorryest rides(and,,,unlike most peeps, I really LIKE Mike Smith!) with one of the funniest comments!!!

LOL, was a great comment and 100% on base. I think it was slotdirt by the way. Seriously, if I need a quick chuckle I'll go back and watch that race and just focus on Flashy Bull and those yellow and black West Point silkes...

Was it slotdirt? Does he still post here? I cannot remember,,,but 6 months later, I'm still laughing!! Now, I *know* funny.....and that was FUNNY!
That was a damn classic.

that is a good line.

for those of you familar with the ESPN board,
the post that still cracks me up more than a year later is Kentness' post announcing that Fairgrounds main track would most likely be sloppy and that the turf races were being taken off the turf course after Katrina put the damn track under water.

funniest thing I have ever read b/c the initial post in the thread included a link to pictures of an underwater Fairgrounds.

lmao, Kent was hilarious sometimes.

That is funny 'Pent. I hate it when people get a bug up their ass and deem that insensitive. It's not...

I'm sure there were a lot of people who said something familiar, but I did say something to that effect. Poor old Flashy Bull is still trying to find his way around the Downs.

I think Steve Haskin would be the guy most properly credited with that phrase. Or something close to it. He called it the "ambulance path."
