A batch of apparently thin TBs rescued from a PA kill pen included Senita Lane, 2nd dam of G1 winner Sean Avery. I'm assuming from the group's reported condition and looking at the BC website that her breeding to Giant Surprise for a foal this year was unsuccessful, making 3 years of nothing from this now 21yo mare since her 2012 Posse colt. Certainly explains how she'd end up being unloaded. Should be interesting to hear the excuses about how all this came to be. I'm sure it's a total surprise. :rolleyes: :mad:

That's disgusting to me, I have a 20 year old mare that was a champion show horse for me, unfortunately she could never produce a foal, but nonetheless ,she means the world to me and owes me nothing. I hope she lives many more just being my pet. I can't wrap my mind around this type of mentality .
