i remember, several years ago, standing in line at a grocery. a woman had bought over $250 worth of items, and upon the cashier finishing, she looked at her receipt and realized a $1 coupon hadn't been taken. so, she asked the cashier what to do. cashier said go to customer service, since the transaction had been finished, she couldn't reopen it. customer got a bit angry. i don't want to stand in that line, can't you just fix it. cashier said no, i'm sorry, there's no way. customer started asking more questions. i said here, here's your dollar. please let me check out. she looked at me like i was nuts. |
