new Mass. gun law

http://news.msn.com/us/massachusetts...tate-gun-rules

and here's a move ripe for blatant misuse.

The new measure gives a police chief 90 days to petition a court to deny a firearms identification card to someone the chief believes to be unfit.

i wonder how they define 'unfit'?

In Massachusetts: "Not a Kennedy."

Actually - don't worry about the chief coming up with his own list. The Feds will give him the list, and the "enemies list" of whomever the sitting president is at the time will be folded in.

I don't disagree, I just wanted to emphasize that the law is bad, and will be bad, regardless of what party is in power. Not a partisan issue in that view.

exactly so.
i know that both major parties love those 'gotcha' moments-until they're the ones getting got.
i just wish people would think more before they write some of this stuff and put it through. this law is ripe for abuse. some humans just can't separate business from personal, and will absolutely let animosity make them do things they otherwise wouldn't do.
honestly, what would it take to get put on that list? i'd wager for some who could add you to it, it wouldn't take much at all!
