"Today, America is coming to help"

Surprised no one has started a thread yet.

Well done, Mr. President.

I hope it's enough.

Too bad the USA pulled its troops out of Iraq prematurely. Even HRC advised against that.

I wonder if the President has considered sending military supplies to the Kurds?

Michael Corleone: Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in.

At least we have something in common I'm throwing money into my **** show of a Saratoga meet and he is throwing it in the never ending middle east **** hole. Only one of us has any chance of winning and that would be me.

During the show’s opening monologue, while Michael told a riveting story about Kate Upton in a robe, ABC cutaway to breaking news. The U.S. had just launched airstrikes in Iraq against Islamic militant group, ISIS. Important news no doubt, and certainly worthy of interrupting Michael Strahan’s boring story about a half-naked Kate Upton and wait, what’s that? People were angry? You don’t say.
Disturbing how some can be so detached from the world we all live in!

And these people vote?

Disgusting!

You know, although I AM in favor of the air strikes because of my fear for this country from groups like ISIS, the thread, if you'll notice the time, was started after his address where he stated that the humanitarian air drops were underway.

Today America is coming to help as in yes, this is what we do... when people are threatened, butchered, beheaded, forced to flee their homes, hide out in the mountains in 120 plus temperatures and then starve to death or drop dead or watch their children do so due to not having water?

Damned right America SHOULD come to help.

I have been VERY critical of this President so sure... he finally makes a decision, takes a stand... yes I do applaud him.

I was pretty surprised when I woke up to find the air strikes had already begun. Honestly I thought his giving the green light meant it was on the table for some future date as an option.

Just wanted to point that out.

Again, I did mean the humanitarian aid.

I'm sincerely surprised that ABC had the temerity to call the situation in Iraq a crisis. I guess that shows just how far the "jayvee" team has come.

Fortunately there are laws in place to keep the executive branch from reacting ....or overreacting, depending on your sensibilities, to global
hostilities between waring factions that do not pose an imminent threat to the Union outlined in the Constitution.
Unfortunately, this sitting president has decided time and time again that those rules don't apply to him.
I'm glad this makes you feel better. I pray your kids don't wind up maimed or dead as a result. There are plenty of those left over from ver. 1.0.

Like it or not, there is a reason for Congress in matters of National Security that involve intervening our military in global conflicts. But why should that matter.

lindsey graham sounds like he's suffering from hysteria. i think he needs to take a vacation to colorado and mellow out.
it must be the heat and humidity. he seems like he's got the vapors.

Hysteria is needed when dealing with evil animals capable of the following:

And yes that is the girl's father!

Sometimes the truth is too hard to handle for some so let's all go to Colorado and get some rocky mountain high.

Vapors? :zz:

UPDATE #1: Many people in the comments and on TGC Twitter feed have mentioned the picture of the headless girl shown on Catholic Online. The story about the girl goes back to 2013. It's claimed she is a Muslim Syrian girl named Fatima Meghlaj and that she was decapitated when Syrian forces shelled her home.

Horrific photo..just hard to believe...i had sent an email to factcheck asking if it was true..haven't heard back..
