why same purse for maidens and allowance horses?

i often wondered about this
i see today at belmont the 2 high purses are for 75000 dollars
one is a allowance and one is a maiden special
i could never understand how maidens can run for money which is ore then the rest of the card
afterall they have not accomplished anything yet
but the allowance race today has established winners

iive always looked at it like i was at my workplace
i guy who is established makes the most money where someone who is just starting gets payed alot less
but its not like that in horse racing

it just does not figure right does it?
