Bet America--pros and cons?

Looking for a back-up to Twin Spires. Anybody here have experience with Bet America? The $300 bonus (dribbled back at 10% of wagers) is intriguing.

I like them a lot. Fast payouts after your first ACH deposit goes through. Great customer service, they responded to my emails within minutes. The bonus does get distributed as you bet as you said. They now have NYRA tracks as well. I highly recommend them.

Regarding the 'sign up bonus', I received an Email from a player who felt the way it was marketed was highly deceptive. He fairly noted that considering most ADW's offer 'bet X, receive X' intros, making new customers bet $3,000 to get the $300 -- and calling it a sign up bonus -- was not the best way to start a relationship.

Well, I'd rather have it the other way myself, but the terms are plainly stated right on the site. I don't have a quarrel with it given that.

This is the way most online poker sites pay out their deposit bonuses. And we are going to play anyway. You just have to churn $3000 over a course of a year to get the full $300 bonus on a $300 initial deposit. With Saratoga and a real dirt Del Mar coming up soon, it should be much quicker than that!

I had a really bad experience with BetAmerica a few years ago and completely stopped using them. I made a withdrawal and the money didn't show up in my bank account. I contacted them after a few days and got some crazy story about how they were changing their banks or some such thing and my funds would be coming once that was completed. When I asked why they didn't advise customers ahead of this - or at the very least when a withdrawal was made - I was very candidly told they didn't want word to spread about the delay in receiving funds. I did eventually get my money, closed my account and proceeded to spread the word to everyone I could about this. If that crap wasn't bad enough, they also don't offer NYRA tracks.
