Jim Tafel, 90

Saddened to hear of passing of Mr. Tafel. The respect and admiration he generated from John Nerud, Carl Nafzger & Ian Wilkes speaks volumes. Will greatly miss the classic yellow and blue jacket.

Alabama Stakes 06-26-2014 10:04 AM

we had one thing in Common, 2000 Travers was one of the best days of our lives. Mr Mosely introduced me to him. Gotta love a guy who wanted to win the Travers more than anything. Old guys are the best ! Rip Sir.

Sorry to hear of his passing...............had the opportunity to see a nice colt by the name of Metfield get his second win when I lived in Chicago. RIP, sir.
