or is he ridsing someone else ?if not i dont think he did anything bad to lose mount no one was catching chrome

Joel is probably factoring in that he'd like to ride more horses for Christophe Clement too.

IMO for a race like this Joel and his agent considered solely who they think has the best chance to win on June 3. While riding more for a major barn is always desired. It's very unlikely that factored into the decision.

Winning the Belmont on ANY horse is also a surefire way to impress live barns.
