Common Core lunacy

This illustrates the problem pretty well:

In preparation for kindergarten applications next year, I have visited about 10 NYC elementary schools. Not one of them has had anything positive to say about Common Core, or standardized testing. One of the principals even said that his school was never going to have high scores on the mandatory standardized tests because they won't teach to the test. That school immediately moved to the top of my list.

Be careful as this is the position of the Chicago Public School Teacher's Union and those union teachers manage to get approximately 65% thru H.S., an F on most grading scales.

But then again software will handle math and English freeing up teachers to teach other things.
