Keeneland tickets

So, how hard is it to get tickets for Blue Grass Stakes saturday? I plan to be online the day they go on sale. I'm just talking grandstand seats or even general admission tickets as we like to hang on the rail. Already have the hotel booked so it would suck if I couldn't get in!!

If you just want to be in the place, just pay the day off, you'll be fine.

grandstand seats might be very tough on that day regardless of when you try and get them, in my experience, there isn't many available

Scav is correct; grandstand seats do go quick. Get online as soon as they open up sales.

I went one time with general admission; it was a nightmare. Extremely crowded everywhere.

Good possibility I will be there for Breakfast With The Works on that morning. Bring my wife and daughter with me. Instead of hanging around for the races, we are going to the horse park. Spending the night then watching races Sunday.

Thanks for the info. I love Keeneland but not sure I will enjoy it as much when its crazy packed. Guess I will wait and see if I get grandstand tix before I decide. I can always cancel my hotel. I'm also planning on going for the 2 year olds in training sale on the monday before the Blue Grass stakes.

When do tix go on sale?

Went last year on Bluegrass Day. I overslept the morning they went on sale, was an hour late but was still able to get halfway decent seats:

The ones by the finish line go in a blink of an eye, have to be online right before they go on sale hitting F5 until they do.

I would def get seats, any kind, unless you like feeling like a sardine, just getting to the paddock and back to your seat is a nightmare. Helps to be tall too because everyone will stand up and while I'm fine, my wife has a hard time.

Keep trying, I got the same BS. Won't have to worry about people standing in front of us this year (2 in the red)
