PaceAdvantage Team Contest - Jan 4 - KY Derby Weekend

Greeting Folks!

Steve has given me permission to make this post, inviting everyone here to consider joining the PaceAdvantage Inter-Board Handicapping League Team contest (P.A.I.H.L.) held again this year at PaceAdvantage.com. Here is the Rules and Sign-up page: http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...d.php?t=109039

The Contest consists of 3-person Teams, playing 8 pre-selected races each Saturday beginning January 4 and ending May 2 & 3 with the Kentucky Derby weekend. The Contest format is: the team collaborates on 3 selections per race which are scored by the Win, Place, Show and Exacta Box mutuels. Teams earn points each week based on how many other teams they beat. The final 3 weekends are all-play-all Finals in 2 Groups - the Team with the most points wins!

Prizes the past 2 years have been $3000 in cash and ADW deposit credits to the Top 3 teams, and we anticipate the same Prize Fund again in 2014. So far this year, 33 Teams have signed up from diverse online handicapping communities, software and real-world racing communities.

It would be great to have a few teams representing DerbyTrail! If you're interested, please register at PaceAdvantage.com (http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/register.php?) You can also register for the Contest as a Free Agent and folks assembling a team can invite you to join them.

This Contest has been a lot of fun and a great community builder (cheering on your affiliated teams). Again, to read the Rules and Sign up for the Contest, please go here:

Thanks again for letting me join this Forum, and extend you all this invitation. Merry Christmas to all, and looking forward to matching wits with some of you in the 2014 P.A.I.H.L. !

cheers,

Clicked on the link and noticed some of the warm and fuzzy names the teams have thought up and am wondering... are there restrictions for such things?

Like if a few of us (I'm on Pace but under a different name and really don't post all too often) wanted to be the Bring Back Cardus-ites or the Cardus was UNfairly Treated Sluts (guess we couldn't shorten that one! ) would that be acceptable?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps 'The Fluffy Slippers' ?

Nice to see you have a sense of humor (of course I don't really know what it means but will ask Mr. Google shortly) but no, Sir... I would have to pay homage to Cardus somewhere in mah team name in order to play in the Pace sandbox.

I shall ponder but, in the meantime, thank you for your concern.
