What a wonderful early X-Mas present...

Words cannot express my thanks to Jason Garrett, Monte Kiffin, Tony Romo and the rest of that generous, kind hearted group of guys otherwise known as the Dallas Cowboys. Down by 23 at half and 19 in the third quarter, the gifts just started coming! Five straight Green Bay Touchdowns, holes I could run through, plenty of time to throw...but that was just the Defense...Not to be left out of the Secret Santa-fest...their offense went as brain dead as Ben Rothleisberger picking out his next ride. 14 out of 15 plays were passing plays...with a double digit lead! Two pics in the last three minutes...an interception on third down when GB had one time out left...it was the North Pole out there I tell ya':{>:

I know Jerry "Bad Santa" Jones woke up a bit woozy this morning with all that gift wrapping he did late yesterday, but his heart should be warmed by all the souls he saved who felt doomed to a Bears division title. Jerry...Please...never change...

inexplicable result, but very enjoyable. and to know romo called that pass after garrwtt said run....even better.
espn loves to talk up romo for some reason. love seeing him prove his mediocrity.

He might be in the wrong sport.

I saw him roll his t-shot onto the green and within 5 feet from 352 on his 1rst swing of the day.

BTW He did miss his eagle putt.

and also, they fired rob ryan...for monte kiffin. the defense is worse, not better. and the saints d is better than it was.

at least i can still enjoy rooting against dallas.

Has anyone explained the reasoning behind completely shutting down the running game in the 2nd half? Murray was averaging close to 8 yds per carry in the first half, then only 13 carries in the entire second half. If I've ever seen a team purposely give a game away, I saw it Sunday. It's inexplicable how you would not manage a game clock on the ground with that lead, instead of stopping it with each incompletion.

I'm no Cowboys fan by any stretch, and as a gambler have had my share of bad beats, but if I had lost money betting that mess I'd want an answer.

they say the calls go thru the oc, to garrett and on to romo.

i think they really come from jerry jones.

seriously, tho..it's a lot of fun to poke at romo, garrett....but doesn't much of the blame for the loss belong on the D? a team who scores that many points should be able to win. why was the pack able to make up so much ground?

to hell with garretts job, what about kiffin?

why they moved away from what got them to such a lead is beyond me. all they had to do was play footballs version of four corner keepaway. run the ball, run the clock, protect the lead.

and when rex ryan gets let go, call him to be the new DC.

In this instance, the Cowboy's D is a non-issue if you manage the clock. GB had at least 3 more possessions than they should have. GB doesn't get back into the game if they don't have the ball. Tampa Bay's (worst in the NFL) offense could have held that lead up. It's game management 101. If Romo is overruling the OC and the head coach by calling his own plays without any check and balance, the entire lot of 'em need to go. I find that hard to believe. Garrett will be back, Jones is loyal to a fault like that. He was Aikman's backup and is a Cowboy for life. He'd have to have a repeat of this year in order to find the hot seat next season. Just wish our beloved Skins were in a position to take advantage of it....lol

Cowboys are a total joke. They would get streamrolled at home by Carolina, New Orleans or San Fran.... At least Philly is a little intriguing.
I hope GB gets in. Best QB on the planet deserves to be in the tournament.

i think garretts future is based on the next two games. they had every chance to help themselves with phila losing earlier to minnesota.
as for the game, so much blame to hand out, to so many. both offense and defense share blame, because GB should never have been able to accomplish so much when they had the ball, and all the offense had to do was burn time and hold onto the ball.
both sides failed dismally. and i loved it!
