Yeah, I think they learned their lesson the hard way with the whole A-rod saga.

That being said, I think it would have been interesting to see what they did, if Robby was signing with a team like Boston, Baltimore or Detroit. But since he's basically going to the obscurity of Seattle, the decision was easy to make.

Wonder if Jay-Z ever considered the blowback of taking Yankees best player elsewhere. Should be really interesting when he attends a sporting event in New York.
