This sounds like they're unarmed and going to release the passengers.
Unfortunately, the Pope's words, despite repeated apologies, will live on for a while.

did you read the part where they are protesting the popes visit over the perceived anti muslim comments he made a while ago? He's not to blame but he is the cause behind their action
