first thing I noticed was the opening credits looked like a full field going a mile and a quarter.

Maybe, but since the original film was about domestic gambling, I was comparing today's level of participation in American horse racing to what it was.

Besides, what most of us here would like to see is a stabilizing and some growth in the participation in American racing and the pools for parimutuel bets.

You know, whatever keeps our preferred tracks healthy and makes us a good return when we do hit a bet.
