Del Mar gets ready for a Breeder's Cup
Del Mar kicks off $5 million turf course expansion
http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/...ing-expansion/ |
He said the new course would have a huge economic impact on San Diego and would make Del Mar eligible to host the Breeders Cup considered the Super Bowl of horse racing as early as 2015.
Geez Geekie maybe the BC committee can host a contest whereby people think of other ways to make it even more unfair to the rest of the country. I am so thankful I live here and get to go again this year (and next) but come on.... it's getting ridiculous. For the love of God give it to Belmont. |

yes, ny can be cold. so are many of the stadiums that hold nfl games.
belmont should be put back in the mix, i can see another go at woodbine, too. hialeah....oh, hold one at hialeah. i tire of the socal only bit. and it doesn't make much sense, knowing handle at churchill is better than handle anywhere else. it's too bad that the bc has turned so far away from its original plan. |

Hard to believe they have any room to make the turf course wider though. |
Colonial Downs has the turf couses, and good weather. Still think Saratoga would be awesome. Hosses have been dealing with winter since they came here.

Good or bad, Del Mar is a lock to get the BC in 2015 in my opinion. Paul |

http://www.dmtc.com/season/tickets/faq.php I want to come to Opening Day, what do I need to order? To enter the facility, all you need is an Opening Day Admission Ticket. You may order these in advance or purchase Admission as you walk through the gate. We never sell out of Admissions. If you would like a Reserved Seat, you may order them through the Online Ticket Office beginning May 11th. The Clubhouse admission price for Opening Day is $20.00 and the Stretch Run is $10.00. Discount Admission books are not valid on Opening Day. If you are purchasing Reserved Seating for Opening Day be sure to also purchase Opening Day Stretch Run or Opening Day Clubhouse Admission. Why are Admissions and Reserved Seats a separate charge? Not everyone who comes to the racetrack wants a Reserved Seat. Some prefer to spend their time in the paddock, infield, or one of the many sports pubs. Children 17 and under do not require an Admission Ticket but will require a seat if you are purchasing Reserved Seating or Dining Tables. |
