Jon White had me excited with all the Kelso talk. He was on a roll.

You never know what he's latched on to or where he'll go.. It's like hooking a sailfish. You got to have a lotta line on the reel.

I might be Jon White's biggest fan. He and Kurt Hoover were very good on those mid 90's Fox Sports West telecasts a long time ago.

Jon White was also Partymanner's before the invention of Youtube.

Showed a lot of awesome old races on-air, almost at random. Obviously Partymanners has the crown forever... but I saw replays of a lot of great old horses I otherwise never would have seen on TV if not for him.

Could not agree more! Even listening to afternoon racing on XM is enhanced enormously by White's presence. He can weave racing history yarns into the post parade of the next claiming race. Wonderfully good stuff and I always enjoy his commentary.

Met Jon at Indy Downs earlier this year. Could not have been a nicer guy. Spoke to me for several minutes between races and then he shouted me out on ATR. He was very gracious to everyone that day.

Just sorry he had to smack a Bambi on his way back to the airport!
