Give it up for Messina

Robert "No Hands" Messina bringing in the 12/1 Lunatrick in the 5th at Belmont. Taking our riders to school. Dutrow's hot chalk poops out.

Tim,
I hear you about Lunatrick.
I also thought those first two races were going to be a big jockey angle.
Then in the 3rd, along comes Elements. Paid $40.
Sad to say, I didn't have this one. Laurie Lafavers is a trainer that I shipped a horse before. She knows her stuff (most of the time). She has a small string out of her barn 48, and gets overlooked by those that bet bigger trainers. Nice to see C Hill bring one home for her.

I unfortunately didnt have it either DTS, nor did I get sucked into Dutrow's very sad excuse for a 1/5 shot.

A race like that screams "pass"...
...you live to play another day.

btw...I wasn't red boarding about Laurie L's Element. Just keep your eyes out for her. Remember Black Silk?

Yes I remember Black Silk. Nice horse a couple years ago. Ran a very nice race once off a very long layoff if mmory serves me correct.

Black Silk was her best horse, a gelding from GB. Stakes winner.
Very impressive in "person".
Laurie is plenty good with geldings and fillies...a bit timid with stallions imo.
Nice to see her get a win today.
