Happy Mothers' Day

Happy Mother's Day to the moms on Derby Trall, and for those of you who have moms, remember to call her (unless she's a total *ssh*le, in which case, I'm sorry. Sadly, we don't get to choose who we are born to.).

My mom died 32 years ago this June. I've been fortunate enough to have a most excellent stepmom (the kind who had my stepbrother text me Derby Day to put $10 on Orb for her, and then didn't understand why it only payed $50. Heh. I love her), but I'm sad my mom didn't live long enough to see her two kids turn out (relatively) okay. Lift a glass to mothers gone, too. I'd toast mine with her favorite drink, except that it was Riunite on ice, and there are limits to my daughterly devotion (love you Mom, wherever you are).

My mom's up in heaven too, as is my mother in law, both wonderful women that are very much missed. Happy Mother's Day DT mom's, and mom's of DTer's :)
