I look forward to her next start in the Santa Margarita, she will likely be a massive underlay.

I agree, that 83 bsf doesn't have my panties moist.

Amen to that. First thing that went through my mind as I read the article.

Don't forget, her trainer is keeping her figs low in anticipation of the g1 coming up, where he'll be aiming her to be her best!

He is a master.

And that's an 83 where they kind of threw caution into the wind.

A field of older male maiden claimers ran a 90 Beyer in the next race - 30 minutes later, same distance, same surface, same run-up, same everything. Even a similar pace from a race shape standpoint

* The winner got a 90 (previous top of 73 - ran a 53 last out)

* The 2nd place finisher, despite being hung up wide on both turns got a new career top by 5 points.

* The 3rd place finisher got a big new career top in career start #7.

* The 4th place finisher also got a big new career top.

* The 5th place finisher also got a big new career top

* The 6th place finisher also got a big new career
top

* The soundly beaten 7th place finisher also got a new career top and made a big forward jump off of recent figs.

I don't think Eblouissante is anything special. She certainly isn't at the current moment.

It seems like the Beyer speed figure makers are being nice to Eblouissante because she is Zenyatta's sister. That 92 for her MSW win seemed very generous.

I'm not a figure maker though so I'm no expert on how they are made other than I understand it's the final time relative to par.

Her debut Beyer figure was an 88.

They added a lot of sand to the track, it played with a speed bias and you dont see many horses make a move like that 3 or 4 wide and just circle the field without being a nice horse. Wait till she goes longer. Also they went really slow the first half of that race. She is progressing, it was only her 2nd race. Maybe she might be an underlay in her next race, but isnt good too have the possibility of a nice horse coming up for racing?

They do?

What are there like two 10 furlong races for fillies now...and they are across the Rockies so we can count them out.

She's not.

Royal Delta? If Royal Delta stays sound, that horse can't warm her up.

For older horses it's one though. The Alabama is for 3 year old fillies.
