The whole f.uckin world/society is going down in flames quickly.

I pray for the familes affected.

just saw it could be two gunmen, with one still at large. just awful.

Can't even send your kids to school without worrying. This is just awful.

and now they're saying at least 27 dead. jesus.

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Some children were among at least 27 people killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., on Friday, according to the Associated Press and Reuters.

The total number of victims is unclear, but Reuters reports that 27 are dead, while NBC News is reporting that at least 20 children at the school were shot. The gunman also is among the dead, and, according to an ABC affiliate, is believed to be a parent of one of the students. Many of the shootings took place in a kindergarten classroom, a local newspaper reported.

An official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still under way told the Associated Press the gunman apparently had two guns. The school district remains on lockdown as police investigate the shootings. There are unconfirmed reports of two shooters, according to the paper.

Definition of tragedy. I haven't shed a tear in over 5 years, but today that ended. Can't even fathom what the families are going through. Absolutely stomach turning event.

I think is the most heinous crime in my lifetime. Targeting children including your own. There is no words, thoughts or prayers that I could utter that would begin to make those victimized begin to heal.

An example of pure evil. Nauseating, literally.

Reportedly one of the gunmen is still at large.

Both horrifying and incredible. The carnage goes on. They kill us in our malls, and places of worship, and schools. We have more luck protecting ourselves from al quada than from the legion of home grown crazies among us. God give these families strength. I can only imagine what they must be going through.

Sickening...elementary school for God's sake where does this stop..Was the shooter after his mother? why kill all those priceless kids..

This is just horrible. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this terrible tragedy.

Talk about a HUGE mistake

4:41 p.m.: Federal law enforcement sources now say Connecticut school shooting gunman was Adam Lanza, 20, and not his brother Ryan Lanza, 24, as earlier reported. Adam was found dead in the school along with his mother, a kindergarten teacher there.

The guy lost his mother, father and brother and had his facebook page circulated throught the media and identified as the killer.

More confusion. Listening to CNN a minute ago. They said Mom not in the school. Found her body in her home in town, Brother taken into custody. Might be just to see what he knows?

I wish these networks would wait to get the facts right when we have these type of tragedies. What's the big hurry?
