priest commits horrible sin

and is stripped of all his duties. the 92 year old deserves much worse than the church has already done to him. wait til you see the crimes he committed.:

"Sometimes in our lives we have to trust our conscience and bring about the consequences," he told the newspaper. "I wasn't trying to show off for the ladies."

So, it's considered "grave crime" just as is molestation. Punishment for this: Defrocking. Punishment for molestation: Reassignment to another parish.

headdesk

yeah, it's crazy. they are so out of touch.

At least Catholic women are allowed to pray and celebrate mass along with males. They also can serve as deacons (handing out communion) and of course nuns. Muslim women? No such luck but let's not get that in the way of catholic bashing.

nothing like deflection to avoid an uncomfortable topic. and yes, i engage in catholic bashing. it comes from years of (ultimately failed) attempts on indoctrination by others for the good of my soul.

are things better here? yep. is it still sadly lacking? yep. is the church still full of archaic laws? absolutely.

but yeah, the catholic women should be happy with the bones the church throws them, while being told wanting to serve in other ways is tantamount to molestation on the sin scale.

'allowed to'. nice touch, dell.

Are you fuking kidding here? She posted on a topic and you are bitching at her because she didn't post on a completely different topic? Put down the bottle dude. And there isn't a soul dumb enough on these boards that doesn't see through your faux outrage on the treatment of Muslim women. You are the only one that truly believes that it is the reason for your hatred of ALL Muslims regardless of how they act.

I don't know what's funniest!

The story itself, Dellingers Rock Tard Hen like reply, or Danzig shoving it up dellingers ass!

I have a new found respect for Danzig now!

I posted the thread when the pakistani girl got shot, remember? At any rate, your muslim fixation is somewhat disturbing. The fact that you think that is the only religion deserving of criticism is your bizarre problem not mine. I am sorry you can't multitask. I, however, can discuss a multitude of subjects with no problem. Get over it. I am not going to limit my criticisms to only those you deem worthy.

It's also bizarre that Dellinger seems to think domestic violence is limited to people of one religion.

I found out this week a high school classmate of mine was murdered by her husband. He shot her Monday, took their 4 year old son to day care Tuesday and then returned to the house and shot himself. It was discovered when no one came to pick up the little boy and the day care called authorities. So awful. From what I was told by classmates who were closer to her than I was, there isn't any family other than my classmate's mother, who is in a nursing home, so the little boy is with Social Services and will likely have to enter the foster care system.

I can assure Dellinger that my classmate was not Muslim. So, does this mean Christians are all wife-killing orphan makers?

Horrific thing to happen. Surprised he did not kill the child too. Seems like folks like that usually do. Maybe the child's age will work in his favor and he will be adopted pretty quickly to a loving home. We can always hope.

My god, that is awful. That poor boy, and his mother.

Dell is probably fuming tho that you posted that story rather than one involving muslims. Get your head out of the sand.

I hope so; I'm worried 4 is getting old; isn't that awful? It sounds awful also, but maybe the publicity around the case will give the child a better chance of a family wanting to take him in. I mean, it's certain they won't have to worry about the biological parents showing up and wanting him back. :(

It just sucks that there's no family (as far as I know) able to take the poor little guy. My poor classmate lost her brother in a kayaking accident in the Susquehanna last year. I can't imagine what her mother is going through now.

I imagine a lot of folks want a baby when they adopt, but not everyone. A lady I worked with adopted a little girl from Social Services here in Arkansas and she was older than that.

It is very sad what happens to some families. Some seem to have more than their share of death and dying.
