He's got to be on the short list now. Incredible horse. I watched the Queen Elizabeth before the Champion Stakes and watching the way Excelebration dominated gave me even more appreciation for just how good Frankel is. He's a truly great horse.

You had me at Zenyatta. Thanks for throwing in Life's Magic for me. Helped confirm to me that this was a joke post. Good one.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they tried something grand and tested his limits?

A 2013 campaign with starts in the Dubai World Cup on synthetic and Breeders Cup Classic on dirt.

Something that could truly stamp him as the horse of the world (like John Hertz tried to do with Reigh Count)

He's clearly established as one of the greatest turf performers of all-time and he has a couple of the great turf performances of all-time.

It's the kind of thing you would do if you had him on a video game. Shame, there are no real good horse racing video games.

Madden = Awesome

NCAA Football = Awesome

NHL Video games = Awesome

MLB Video Games = Awesome

NBA Video Games = Believe it or not, Awesome

Fifa Soccer = Other than the fact my girlfriend beats me everytime, awesome

Is it really so hard to make a decent horse racing video game? The NTRA tried one time ... it was legendary how bad that game was.

Now, the NTRA just save their video game efforts into annually making a joke like I'll Have Another beating Spectacular Bid and Zenyatta beating Citation and Affirmed.

I love it.

Spectacular name. Spectacular career. Spectacular race. Spectacular photo (thanks, Mr. Byk). The stuff of legends.

Fantastic Frankel. How lucky we are to have seen this horse race.

His final Timeform for today's race was a provisional of 139, 8lbs below his best.

Timeform gave Excelebration a provisional 135 (2 lb improvement over his lifetime best) for his dominating performance winning the QEII Stakes earlier (which was another awesome race).

Would have been better to see him race over here like Excelebration will do....

geeker2 10-20-2012 08:37 PM

All I know is that it was a great race to watch - and as a fan - it was fantastic!
