If you don't have a 3 month supply of water and food then I suggest you get it soon. Don't be a moron.

Funny how I used to think my great-grandfather was crazy for having a garden and being a prepper.

I implore most of you to pay attention at the grocery next time you go. The stock is getting smaller by the month.

All it would take is a disaster to break the supply lines. Then what?

I'm not going to starve nor beg for food and water. Rather spend a dime or two and protect myself and my loved ones.

Worrisome that Costco would be selling a product like that. Do they know something we don't?

Yes.

That there is profit to be made on fear and that the Doomsdayer type of shows combined with the Mayan thing will lead some innocent and otherwise level-headed people to purchase crap they can't really afford and don't need.

I love you Coachie. I'm not seeing this at all but I say that with all the affection in the world.

You can prep on the cheap.

The people you mention being taken advantage of are far less pathetic then say an Apple fanatic who has to have all the new gadgets. And plenty of poor folks have overpriced iphones.

A major earthquake on the west coast or new madrid would make you regret not having what you need to survive.

... it should have been in Apple.

To me there a difference between having an earthquake kit with supplies for a few days and $1,199.99 ("after $300.00 off") for the Costco thing.

One is reality and one borders on lunacy.

I've been through a mudslide, a fire and of course a few earthquakes just because of where i live. A few days worth of stuff is the most I would ever bother with and yes if I'm wrong I'm wrong and I will be one of those women you so eloquently suggested would be blowing Hell's Angels I suppose. :D

I know what you mean about the Apple fanatics...

Or you would be in a camp/sports stadium in a situation similar to the Super Dome during Katrina.

There were people in the Dome who were fortunate to have living quarters that didn't get flooded...the problem was they didn't have any food or clean water.

I'd rather have food and water than the slight chance I'd have to go to Papa John's Rape Arena.

Speaking of lunatics taking advantage of people...

El Rushbo.

“We’re doomed,” Limbaugh said this afternoon on his top-rated talk show.

“If Obama’s re-elected, it will happen. There’s no IF about this. And it’s gonna be ugly. It’s gonna be gut-wrenching, but it will happen. The country’s economy is going to collapse if Obama is re-elected. I don’t know how long: a year and a half, two years, three years.”
He's super insider RINO shill. When he starts talking doom you better listen. He drops hints.

They have planned the collapse and this is a big reason why...

Quote:

“This can’t go on, folks. We’re on an unsustainable course,” he continued. “You simply can’t pay people who aren’t working. You just can’t. You cannot pay them anything, much less full-fledged incomes, lifetime health care and lifetime pensions. You can’t do it. Even if you wanted to, even if that was your definition of fairness and equality, you can’t do it. The money isn’t there.
The Baby Boomers are doomed. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be under 40 still have a legitimate shot to survive and thrive after the collapse.

Those who are my parents age that didn't save on their own are done.
