That's a shame.

I believe she was the post time favorite in every race of her career.

Haven't they heard of that "powerful joint medication polyglycan"? All kidding aside, i was actually impressed with her last race. It just proves that a horse who runs on turf and trains on it is not immune to degenerative bone disease..

This horse had some serious zip down the lane.

Might she not be a candidate for stem cell therapy?

She was only going to race 2 more time this year before retirement, so this is far better than a possible catastrophic incident on the racetrack.

One of my All Time favorites, despite going off low odds every start, I still managed to cash a few profitable tickets on her.

A quick update. Darby Dan just tweeted that Winter Memories is in foal to Street Cry. She's expecting a colt.

loved her mama, stone cold runner was me and my brother's fave first time we saw her. Beautiful slver hoss.
