Tutti Va Benne
 

I see that Tutti Va Benne was vanned off after the 8th race at Saratoga today. I am hoping that Steve or someone with a connection to Gary's barn can give us an update. She is one of my all time favorites.

Exceedingly odd injury that had 2 vets scratching their heads. By the time she pulled up limping badly, there was a tennis ball sized knot on her ankle. Upon examination, there was no tendon or suspensory problem and no apparent bone compromise. The knot was hard to the touch. The state vet told Gary he had never, in 15 years on the track, seen something like it before. She was being iced later at the barn when Tina and I got to the car and the swelling had gone down. Will know more today.

Word from the barn at this hour is that Tutti is A-OK.. Just a strange contusion. May have been kicked or stepped on out of the gate or it may have happened on the turn when she was squeezed down inside and bumped up on the rail.
