He had one at Calder last Saturday - race 5. . . Showed early interest before fading to fifth.

Did they retire him to stud yet based off that effort?

No. They want to give him another chance to show that his loss was no fluke.

The winner, a PA Bred sired by Straight Man out of a Carnivaly mare, has now earned 40K in her short career and hadn't even yet broke a Beyer of 42 prior to today.

I know of some other G Monk 2yos none of which are doing very well
