So let's vote on same sex marriage

Private poll, pick one that best represents your own opinion

Danzig 05-09-2012 06:37 PM

please. there was no vote on 'straight' marriage, and none is needed now. you can't confer rights to some and not others. it's that simple. you don't have to like it, agree with it, or think the bible says one thing or another.

But if you're a Republican, you pass it into law to force your opinion on "rights" upon others.

Blue: where same sex marriage is legal
Pink: Statute bans same-sex marriage
Red: Constitution bans same-sex marriage
Maroon: Constitution bans same-sex marriage and some or all other kinds of same-sex unions

You can see the whole map defined here:

gay people got issues

its written in the Bible a man and woman marry and becomes 1,

a lot of people thinks is ok same sex marriage, "WRONG"

gay people got issues they should seek god and repent of their sins

no1 is born gay, some how they transform or experiment and the make the choice to be gay

IMO is nasty, somehow gays got brainwash
.
this is a touchy subject wtf is this world coming too.

one goes to the park with the kids and they see 2mans kissing and touching
how do 1 explain to a child gayness, is so wrong wow :zz:

all i have2 say is gay people, god sees everything weather you in the closet or out, so do whats right repent and live a real life.

i don't have anything against gay people is your choice to be gay
but thas not a real life.

Fox News website posters flip out

LOL ... Fox News trying to desperately spin Obama's support for gay marriage, this way:

"Obama Flip Flops, declares War on Marriage".

Seriously?

"War on Marriage"?

Oh, Fox News, so fair and balanced ... :D

And the comments section? Flipping out.

Personally I'm for number 2.

However I would never want my personal view to affect a view a State I don't live in may have.

10th Amendment > Gay Marriage

BTW How do I block RIOT's polls in addition to her posts?

Clip-Clop 05-10-2012 11:16 AM

Marriage has always had a religious tone to me. I would prefer a hetero civil union option given the choice. Not such a hassle to get out of, why can't straight couples have the same opportunities as gays!!???

That would be never of course, which is your point...If you put that restriction on all threads, there would be no threads here...:)

You don't click on them, then comment in the thread, then leave with an ad hominem to try and cover your rude ass, because you decided to click into the thread and participate.

Life: way too hard for Dell to figure out :p

Did you see Romney in Colorado yesterday? He had a press event, and the reporter came with questions from specific electronic audience members ("this question is from Jim Smith, who would like to know your opinion on ... ") She listed their name, then the question. Romney got pissed the questions were on social issues, rather than the economy, but then attacked the reporter. It was not a good thing.

We need to count the non-economic bills the House has passed, and compare them to the economic bills they've passed over the past couple of years. Go Tea Party!

many of us can multi-task. altho some items on the agenda may have more importance to the general population than others, they are still important. they still matter.

equal rights for all in this country is one of it's most basic tenets, and what the country was created for to begin with. when people don't have rights that are conferred on others, that's a huge problem, and should never happen here.

Romney apologizes for bullying in high school, and bullying gays

This is what happens to you - stuff from high school is pulled up - when you are running for President on a platform of passing a constitutional amendment outlawing gay marriage.

Bullying = "hijinks and pranks"? Tell that to current teen suicides.

Good lord. This man has zero soul.

Here's the Washington Post original on his teen bullying: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...KFU_print.html

Here's the fallout starting:

Romney Apologizes For Bullying In Prep School, Says He Didn't Know Victim Was Gay

WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney made a surprise appearance on Fox host Brian Kilmeade's radio show Thursday morning to respond to a lengthy Washington Post story on his time as a prep-school prankster and occasional bully of closeted gay students.

"They talk about the fact that I played a lot of pranks in high school," Romney said. "And they describe some that you just say to yourself, back in high school I just did some dumb things and if anybody was hurt by that or offended by it, obviously I apologize."

“I participated in a lot of hijinks and pranks during high school and some might have gone too far and for that, I apologize," he added.

LOL - that was brilliant! And on the stupid NC ballot measure: "Now heterosexual couples in North Carolina will suffer the same lack of rights that gays have always experienced".

From the link:
"The idea that Romney, as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, holds the same mindset now as he did in his prep school days is, of course, absurd. People change, including Obama who had, until Wednesday, spent several years in public life opposing same-sex marriage."

Obama changed, too, from his alcohol bingeing, pot smoking, coke snorting high school daze, to what we now see before us. I don't even believe he eats dogs any more.

Coach Pants 05-10-2012 03:10 PM

People don't change. Except mixed race democrats. Especially ones that are 1/1024th Native American.
