Gulf of Mexico dolphins mass die-off.

Brucella has been tested as a biological weapon. Not too many cases of dolphins getting it and this is a major concern. It can be transmitted through breathing. Causes abortions, flu-like symptoms, rashes, etc.

Thanks to BP for fu.cking the gulf up. Sure it looks normal when you're on the beach but the damage has been done.

It's a soft kill.

They estimate the numbers at around 2 percent of the actual numbers of dead, dying and affected dolphins and whales.

Disgusting.

Deformed fish, dead birds of every kind, all this during peak migration season, peak breeding season, so many species affected.

There are 7 kinds of sea turtles left 5 of which reside there. They have been around for 120 million years. They survived the time of the dinosaurs but hey... BP can do what no one else has.

There are a thousand charities but for anyone who wants to consider a donation I know first hand this is one of the good ones.

It's easy to shake your head and go on to the next story. I do it too. I was involved in the anti-finning movement and don't have time to do anything more than to throw money at this and keep hope but I suppose that's better than nothing.

It's a crime, what they've done. Too bad it isn't treated as such.

Haven't wated to throw it lately but I haven't read everything down here.

As far as Coachie goes please understand I both love and miss him immensley.

I don't follow the reindeer game mentality. I like the people I like and if they're kinda rude to my other friends well I can't control anyone else but it doesn't mean I have to join in.

You know?

So yeah I liked Coach a lot and would never disrespect him by pretending otherwise. :)

No idea if he's back as someone else... I haven't spoent too much time here lately but if he is here? Happy shark week, Luv. :p

I was on a fairly secluded beach near Gulf Shores for the past 10 days.

The cost of seafood has risen sharply in the span of a year. If you want a good plate of multiple types of seafood be prepared to pay $50.

So what you're getting is the possibility of a corexit infested piece of fish at 100% inflation. And the marine life population is reportedly dying at a rapid pace in the gulf.

We could look up in 10 years and a piece of catfish will be the equivalent of a smidge of caviar.

Not to mention the small earthquakes that are happening in the gulf and Caribbean. Hell...Florida had a small quake today.

If the salt dome goes then we're all fuc.ked.

... but the good news is that you're back!!!!!:{>: :{>: :{>:

I've missed you.
