OTTB Spotlight: Doctor Decherd

"...But first I wanted to bring you this touching story about a sweet gelding named Doctor Decherd, who is now enjoying a peaceful retirement in Texas thanks to the help of a generous group of racing fans."

I'm so glad you posted this and will definitely buy a copy of Front Runner when it comes out. :)

An awesome way to come up with funds to help support this lovely boy... I hope he has a long and healthy retirement.

He obviously has a lot of people who love him. Great story. Thank you for posting it.

I just now ordered my copy and I wish you all the success in the world.

I hope your book does well for so many reasons... for you, of course, and for him but also for the sake of the others... that it gets press and raises awareness.

We need to take care of them and so many fine organizations and individuals are so giving... it's a shame that the recent (and I believe growing) negative press isn't at least parallelled with stories such as his.

He is very lucky to have you in his life. :)

Thank you, MMSC!

I hope the book helps all those T-breds who need a hand after their racing days are over. I hope you like the book and if you do, you share it with your friends! I'm working hard at promoting it. I'll be at Lone Star Park for opening weekend on Saturday - can't wait!

The book arrived today... three days early (!).

It's just lovely. Really it is fantastic.

Loved the part about his first win. A couple of the photos in his scrapbook look like paintings.

Page 67 almost made me cry it's so beautiful.

Many many thanks for taking the time to post here (and thanks Old Dog cause I might have nissed it if not for you) and I wish you all the luck in the world.

Have fun at Lone Star and please someday give him a hug from me.

Really... I love your book. :)
