How al-Qaeda tried to control the media

Quote:

As I wrote last week, Gadahn hated Fox News (“falls into the abyss”); he liked MSNBC but complained about the firing of Keith Olbermann; he had mixed feelings about CNN (better in Arabic than in English) and made flattering comments about CBS and ABC.

I'm guessing that Fox News isn't too upset over being hated by a terrorists media advisor?

Read the whole article. The "Gadahn" mentioned is a Jewish American who converted. The parts about being punished by God for murder are interesting.

Gadahn is an intriguing figure whose life story would seem far-fetched if sketched by a Hollywood screenwriter. He was born Adam Pearlman in 1978, grandson of a California doctor who had served on the board of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League. Gadahn converted to Islam when he was 17, migrated to Pakistan at 20 and then disappeared in March 2001 into al-Qaeda’s world. In 2006, he was indicted by the United States for treason.

I read the whole article and will say again that Fox is probably not too upset with being unpopular with Al-Qaeda's formerly zionist, now terrorist media advisor.

:zz: I imagine none of the news stations care what he thinks

Unless they are going to for the potential terrorist viewers during sweeps week I doubt they are either. However it is interesting that they hate Fox.

It is interesting to know you liberals and terrorist groups have something in common though. I'm surprised that DailyKos didnt have Gadahn doing a blog for them.

LOL - you think I'm a liberal?

Geesh, how far to the right are you!?

I know a lot of liberals and you are way further west than most of them. As a matter of fact it is a bad sign for this country that people with your beliefs think that they are moderates. Anyone who has an on going love affair with daily Kos who doesn't think they are a liberal is really confused.

I doubt that's accurate. I doubt you know any real progressives. One would make your head explode <g> I don't agree with much of progressivism.

And yet for my entire life, I've been a typical moderate Republican, aligning with the political beliefs of the moderate Republican candidates, never voting for a Democrat based upon my views, and I still hold those very same beliefs. Fiscally conservative, socially generous.

To me, that shows where the political spectrum in this country has gone - far to the right. And most professional politicos agree with that assessment.

Daily Kos and Daily Beast don't generally have the hate of Red State, but it's there. You skip those parts, and stick to the better objective writers, not the crazy anarchists and loonies of the very far left, or the right at Daily Beast, or Red State. I've linked plenty to Daily Beast, but never found anything worthy at Red State.

Your continued cheerleading of Mr Obama's economic policy belies your belief that you are a fiscal conservative.

You have made a blanket statement that is inaccurate. I have supported some of Mr. Obama's economic policies, and not supported others. I am still, and always have been, a typical northwest suburban Chicagoland moderate Republican.

I know you think you know my lifetime political stances better than I do, but I'll go with my own experience, thanks :-)

When you agree with 98% it kind of skews you one way. But it is a free country and if you want to believe you are a moderate Republican go right ahead...

Does that mean my radical leftist views are ok?

Sure. It is a free country and at least you admit your views for what they are.
