Shameless Welfare Recipients

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...ecipients.html

Here's something interesting:

Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, is a filmmaker and recently appeared on Bill Maher's "Real Time" on HBO. She had done a piece about voters in Mississippi who were against Obama. The left had no problem with it of course.

Now, she wants to check out a New York City Welfare office near her home. Her interview footage has alarmed many liberals.

Among the quotes here in the short clip:

"I'm here to get paid. I want a check, b*tch."

"I'd vote for Obama because he gives me stuff."

"I'll vote for Obama because he's black."

"I have 5 kids by 4 'baby mamas'"

I have to give credit to Maher for having the guts to show it - I understand HBO top brass did not want it shown - and Ms. Pelosi for at least giving equal time to a depiction that is not considered Politically Correct, and that is usually censored.

Now the question is, for those of us not on welfare (for those of us pulling the wagon instead of sitting on it), does it make sense to vote for the favorite candidate of the recipients, or the other guy?

Like it's gonna make any damn differance who any of us vote for. Those same as*holes will still be there getting their checks.

The ONLY way to stop it is to stop the money flow!

No future budget ceiling raise until a truly balanced budget is put in place!

Enough is enough already.

With obesity rates among food stamp recipients off the charts, please stop feeding them so much. It's killing them! There's a place to start.

You're probably right, but you know, we don't HAVE to write those checks. No one has the guts to reduce the amounts or the number of people eligible. It's self-intimidation on the part of those politicians who would be opposed to the status quo.

I assume you watched both. What did you think of the toothless hillbilly who was receiving welfare (because he deserved it) but was against others from getting it?

Does it make sense to vote for HIS favorite candidate? See how convoluted the whole thing is? All of the candidates suck. There is no winner or loser in November.

We all lose no matter what.

I have to find that whole clip - I only saw a few seconds of the Mississippi one. I don't get HBO (was going to and then they canceled Luck), and I didn't hear about the Mississippi piece until this whole controversy blew up on Monday.

I will say this: If he's for him getting it and not others - that's patently unfair - but realistic in this, perverse way: If everyone got it, or even just a few more people than today, then the system collapses.

We simply cannot afford to support the permanent recipient class any longer. Those who think we can must think it's fine for everyone to file for these "benefits" and stop working and crash the economy. Then we'll have real "fairness".

This crap goes back to FDR, and, later, LBJ. It was a poison pill.

It all goes back to the launch of the Fed.

The video link to the entire Mississippi equivalent of the NY folks is in the first sentence of the article you posted http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...hers_show.html
