I'm sure it'll make a really pretty picture when they're done with it. Hopefully her statue will be in some sort of dancing pose, but how could it not if they're even trying to get the dapples in there? It'll be enormous, that's for sure.

The girth comparison of Zenyatta, Secretariat, Seattle Slew, and Forego was interesting. She's a smidge above Forego. I'm curious as to the time Secretariat's was measured. Closer to age 3 or to age 6? Obviously he was shorter than she was. He'd fill out after some time as a stallion.

I like the part about her facing "eastward".

I guess technically it won't be ironic if the statue is made out of bronze.

now, why did i think of sea hero and his statue when i saw zen was getting one?
