From the looks of things, that blueberry diesel is treating you quite well.

He had a fracture of some kind in the fall... was supposed to be coming back at some point this year.

No workouts yet though.

You do realize that his oldest foals are newly turned yearlings right now, right?

So your histrionics about how Old Fashioned is a disaster as a stallion is based on what?

Do you have access to his semen analysis or something?

it seems like none of them brought any money and the stud fee continues to drop.

A whole baker's dozen of his weanlings were sold last year. Weanlings don't often sell for more than 6 figures, but 2 of his went for $75k. Let's at least wait for some of the presumably better bred yearlings to go through the ring this year.

Or better yet, let some of them actually hit the racetrack.

yep, that's generally how it goes. that's why most farms look to 'get out' on a horse in the first year or two. typically after the first two seasons you see stud fee drops to keep interest high, as new horses hit the market. the tale will actually be told when his horses start running. even storm cats fee went down before it started climbing after people started seeing what he could accomplish.
