That Twitter Fake Racing Movies Game is Addictive

Phfew, just when you think there can't be any more good ones, wow. I know Steve was playing this earlier. It's a game on Twitter where you take a racehorse's name (sometimes some other racing related thing, e.g. one I just saw "Gangs of New York Breds") and a movie title and get creative with it. NTRA was retweeting several. It was a lot of fun, and apparently gaining momentum again. There's some really clever word play going on.

Some of mine were "Hooh Why Framed Roger Rabbit?" "Isitingood Will Hunting," "Transformers 3: Dark of the Malibu Moon," "O Brother Derek, Where Art Thou?" "Master and Commander: The Phar Lap Side of the World," "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Bald," "Y Tu Mama Tambien Bien," "Bonnie and Clyde Van Dusen," "An Americain in Paris," and "What About Bob Baffert?"

As you can guess, this is but the tip of the iceberg. It's a sickness, and we need Twitter game rehab, seriously. This is my first step: admitting I have a problem.

Good ones! :) I just thought of a new one: Happy Gilmore Ticket. :D

PS. I forgot to mention another I was particularly proud of. The Adventures of Tintin Man. :p

I promise I'm not being snarky here, but do you change the words of songs to make them horse racing themed also?

I'm sure it's doable, but I've not tried it or seen anybody do it on Twitter myself. I follow a lot of folk though, so it's possible I missed that particular game. Starting one's maybe harder unless you get someone like NTRA who's got more followers to do it because it'll basically be you playing with yourself (if you'll pardon the expression). I'll give it a shot here. I just heard someone talking about the song Hotel California on tv so I'll go Hotel California Flag. :)

I was listening to the archive of Hour 2 of ATR today, heard the discussion of this Twitter meme, and went to Equidaily to see what Seth had written up about it. Then when I clicked on the link, I found out it's started up again. Oh well, a relapse was inevitable, eh? :p

I was traveling yesterday to Chicago. Joined the fun twice during the day and then stayed up well past 2am still tweeting away. Boy did I pay for it this am at practice!

But it was great fun and I'm sure a new horse racing tweet along will come soon!
