Derby Trail Forums - THURS - Fair Grounds (R6-R9 PK4)

Expecting to wager more this year at Fair Grounds with their revamped turf course. Like most horseplayers I prefer turf racing and for the last few years it was hard to even watch the chewed up turf course after a couple of weeks into the meet. The turf course has been revamped and all early indications are positive it will hold up. Also, Chamber of Commerce type of weather this week helps out.

Fair Grounds

R6 - MSW 46k (Turf 8F) - Outstanding betting race with a handful that can graduate.

#9 Pledge of Truth (8-1) - Two turns should really help.
#7 Encyclical (8-1) - Finally gets on the grass after two off turf synthetic tries. 4TH
#3 Hy Lime Time (5-2) - Has been knocking on the door in California. 2ND
#6 Warren Heights (8-1) - Took some money north of the border for sharp barn.

R7 - Md 20k

#8 Smart and Suave (7-2) - Turns back after showing speed in debut at KEE at a higher level. 3RD
#5 All by Chance (8-1) - Not much from outside post at KEE. Jones 25% in 2nd starts.
#2 Singles Bar (3-1) - Should not get caught wide again with inside post. WON $6.20
#7 Princess Mia (9-2) - Must break well after extended vacation to contend. 4TH

R8 - Clm 25k N2L (Turf 8.5F)

#6 Grove Park (3-1) - One of two with a local win and looks to get a nice stalking trip under Mena. WON $7.00
#2 Kells Blues (7-2) - Has bounced around a few tracks, but fits well here.
#4 Quiet Title (9-2) - Consistent at this level, just not winning. 3RD
#8 Empty Pages (15-1) - Should be running late to catch a minor piece.

R9 - Clm 5k N3L

#9 Glorious Destiny (6-1) - Eligible to improve in 2nd start off a break. 3RD
#3 Kiss Me Kellan (5-2) - Can repeat with the bug boy aboard.
#1 Sunday Shoes (7-2) - Last dirt try win this. 4TH
#10 Beach Vibe Alive (9-2) - Maybe Rosie will help get filly out of this level.
