Iowa Palin group to run ad encouraging her to run
Will air on TV in Iowa...certainly understandable given the miserable showing of Republican candidates thus far...god help me but I think she could be their best bet!
"(CNN) - A pro-Sarah Palin group will start airing TV ads Wednesday in Iowa, urging the former Alaska governor to reconsider her decision against running for president. Palin announced she wouldn't launch a White House bid in early October, ending years of speculation that the 2008 GOP vice presidential running mate might seek the Republican nomination in 2012. Conservatives4Palin, a large online group, made the ad buy for $6,500. The group said the ad will air for a week in Sioux City, with spots during ABC's "Good Morning America" and "Dr. Oz," as well as during local news programs in the evening. This will be the first television ad the group has run since Palin announced her decision on Oct 5." |

Palin has become a media joke but she could turn that around by playing to her strengths...(1) she is still the best known of the Republican choices, (2) she has a "homey" way about her that many folks are drawn towards, and (3) she is an attractive female (shouldn't matter but anyone who is truthful will admit it does). She must avoid the "poor me, the liberal media has it in for me" stuff and could do that by ignoring same, and she must also avoid specifics whenever possible (a natural predisposition of all politicians). The Republican field is so weak that she could easily win the nomination by simply avoiding blunders.

Not strong enough. She is now the poster girl for ditz. And is the personified counterpart of the arrogant prick---which is the consummate cu.nt. No one will become prez who thinks eggs are grown in gardens. |

in addition to her many obvious flaws, she's done no fundraising or organizing. do you seriously think she could start a 50 state campaign with delagate selection beginning in about 6 weeks and take the nomination away from someone who has money in the bank and feet on the ground where it counts?
her chances went to zero when she wasn't fundraising or organizing last spring. this is the flip side of "obama won't run to clear the way for hillary in 2012". it's fantasy. she's an empty headed beauty queen. her ambition was to be famous and rich. she's done both. why would she run for president and relive the humiliation of 2008? i give her credit for at least having the sense to know her limitations. i'll miss her laughable factual blunder's but we'll still have rick perry and michelle bachmann for a few more weeks of comic relief. |

Herman and Newt are on book selling tours. Perry is for those that think George Bush was too intellectual. The only chance the GOP has is to beat Obama would be to run Huntsman, but it's Mitten's year. |
she wouldn't have a shot in hell at winning the white house, thank goodness. if she's the republicans best bet, they need to go the way of the federalist, whig and know-nothing parties.
as for her strengths....the only reason she remains on the radar at all is she's good looking, which isn't typical of a pol. |

i know this entire thread is a bad joke but am still surprised that partisans on both sides still think the general election is a slam dunk for them.
i cheer every time i see a post about obama being dead meat. and shudder with every post that a republican nominee has no chance. romney's being attacked by the dnc now because they know he's a formidable candidate in a bad economy. and it'll still be a bad economy in 2012. it's easy for an obama supporter to have a few cheap laughs at the clowning in the republican primary now. but if romney is the nominee he won't carry tea party baggage and will have a lot of appeal to independent voters. it's going to be a close election with a lot going against the incumbent. |

And I think the books written about Palin's time on the campaign trail prove she's not very mentally capable, in an IQ sort of way. Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar. Obama was President of Harvard Law Review. Dubya Bush was an alcoholic and a cheerleader, which is why Cheney was our real president. Herman Cain doesn't know anything about foreign countries and mocks their long names. Rick Perry thinks the voting age is 21 and barely passed college. Michelle Bachmann is a crazy loon. Mitt Romney is the Ken Doll of a presidential candidate. Palin was Barbie. So it goes. |

Some of O's writings as the Pres. of Law Review. Perhaps he isn't that bright after all... "Since the merits of the Law Review's selection policy has been the subject of commentary for the last three issues," wrote Obama, "I'd like to take the time to clarify exactly how our selection process works." "Approximately half of this first batch is chosen ... the other half are selected ... " "No editors on the Review will ever know whether any given editor was selected on the basis of grades, writing competition, or affirmative action, and no editors who were selected with affirmative action in mind." they might not all be mensa members, but i would have a hard time with a leader who can't even name a magazine she reads. all of them is what she said she reads. really? sarah palin reads every magazine? that's a lot of reading.
then, who's her favorite founding father? why, all of them too! amazing. sheer brilliance. everyone needs to stop pretending that sarah is anything more than a pretty face. we need more than that in the white house. |

Should a candidate for President of the United States: Know that Africa is not a "country" (Bachmann) Know the national voting age is 18? (Perry) Know what "Libya" is? (Cain) I think it's touching to learn that there are still a small cadre of Palin supporters who think that she's qualified for anything more than grifting money from them. |
