There have been some albino deer taken in my area over the years. How is he protected?

maybe you're not allowed to shoot them? they would certainly stand out, no way you could claim ignorance if you took one. there's a piebald doe that comes out a mile or so from our house, and she's had at least two fawns just like her. just beautiful. not full white, more like an appaloosa!

Posted before I read the article. I don't think they are protected in N.Y. It made the papers as a nice trophy here. I don't think I would shoot one.

i saw a coyote on the way to work that's in his prime. i thought it was someone's dog at first, he looks like he's been on iams or something! huge, but then he faced me and there's no mistaking that face. he was trying to figure out how to get across the highway and into the pasture with the calves.

Snowshoe deer!
