How does this guy get a trainers license?

If it weren't so sad, the PP's for his horse, Super Candy, in the 3rd at SA today would be incredibly comical.

There are a lot of trainers who should not have a license. Why must this guy get his own thread?

It says more about the quality of California based 2yo's than it does about the trainer.

Other than Creative Cause and Drill there was a maiden, a former claimer and a horse shipping in from Europe who broke his maiden on the grass in April going for 3rd money in the Norfolk.

Overall the trainer's stats over 5 years are no worse than a dozen other guys and its not as if he's ruining a good horse by running him over his head.

He's more than qualified to have a license. He trained a Grade 1 stakes winner in Island Fashion -- and I believe trained her when she was 2nd against the males in the Big Cap.

More than a few trainers would benefit from a course in where to and where not to spot horses.

I guess when you only pay $2,500 for a horse, you just keep throwing sh*t at the wall and hope something sticks.

Well he is a better trainer than he was a jockey if that says anything.
